Quick Guide — Simple Steps

1Choose an image.

2Confirm sRGB and click Bind image → PKL.

3Click directly on a colour in the image.

4The frozen PKL source colour appears on the right.

5The clicked connected region is selected separately from all other occurrences of that PKL colour.

6Sort candidates and save interesting ones with → A / → B / → C.

7Choose a decision for the region, then export the decision JSON and binary region mask.

Method / limitations

Reference Identity: Workflow v3.4.0 RGB-only. Integer squared RGB distance; exact tie → smaller atlas_row_id; K = UNLIMITED; Seed 42 documented/not used.

Alternatives: A/B/C are separate candidate/simulation layers. The source_atlas_row_id remains unchanged.

Metamerism: EXPERIMENTAL / SHADOW. Anchor and alternate illuminants are analysis choices made only after source identity freeze. Multi-illuminant rankings are not normative risk classes.

Spectral: ATLAS reference reflectance is limited to 380–730 nm. Built-in D50/D65 and uploaded SPDs are evaluated with the supplied CIE 1931 2° observer over that documented interval. Uploaded SPD provenance remains the user's responsibility.

PKL display: PKL mapped und A/B/C-Preview verwenden exakte 8-Bit-RGB-Werte der aktiven Masterzeilen. Pixel-Selbsttests prüfen row/RGB/HEX.
